Me Time
I’ve been taking a little time for myself this winter. Knitting (for me!), reading, working on the basement, trying to cut back on my computer time (mostly by not taking on any more projects until I’m caught up on the ones currently on my plate), paying more attention to my health, wallowing in my NetFlix queue, and trying not to think too much. That last one is really tricky and sometimes requires doubling up on two or more of the above at a time to generate enough of a distraction. My thoughts have been spread too thinly for too long. It’s time to regroup, take stock, and reorganize my mental self. But first, I simply have to stop. Do you know how hard it is for me to do that without feeling selfish? Really hard.
