For I have been to Candy Mountain and, lo, it is made of Midol
Perhaps I should have read the label first, but I was a little cranky and somewhat crampy, so I dug the free Midol Menstrual Complete sample out of my purse, washed it down with a few swigs of water, and went back to work. It didn’t take long before I was feeling better, but it wasn’t until about 3 hours later that I stopped to wonder why I was so jumpy. I hadn’t had any sugar today, did remember to eat lunch, and I tend to avoid caffeine as a general rule, yet I was behaving as if I were on a Mountain Dew IV drip. Since the only new thing in my routine was the Midol, I dug the wrapper out of the trash bin to inspect it more closely. Sure enough, it contained 60mg of caffeine per caplet. I had taken two.
It is now nearly six hours since taking these things and I am still as high as a kite. Wowsers. I’ll probably do a kidney check in the morning, but at least the cramps are gone. Weeee!
